Salter
The history of Salter
In 1760 the brand Salter was founded by Richard Salter in the village of Bilston in England. At that time Richard Salter started making a compact model of the unster, a type of scale that was mainly used in markets. In 1825, the company was taken over by George Salter, the cousin of the founder. From the new location, West Bromwich, a wide range of weighing scales was produced, including the first personal scales of England. Meanwhile Salter has grown into a market leader in the field of everything that has to do with roads and they still offer a wide range of scales.
