Binocular stereomicroscope: 3D image and suitable for a wide range of applications
The microscopes in the DZ series are available in four different models:
The microscope manufacturer Euromex counts this series of stereomicroscopes among the best they have manufactured. These have plan apochromatic objectives and are equipped with a high-quality zoom lens. It is standard equipped with extra wide field eyepieces of 10x / 22 and LED lighting that shines both above and below the object. This makes it ideal for use, for example, for observing rocks and gems, insects, printed circuit boards. The stereomicroscopes in the DZ-series of Euromex can optionally be equipped with three different lenses (0.5x, 1.0x or 2.0x), making enlargements up to 160x possible. In addition, the microscopes in this series can optionally be extended with a WF15x / 16 and WF20x / 12 eyepieces.
- With ergonomic head (from 10 ° to 35 °)
- With a zoom ratio of 1: 6.3 or 1: 8
Ergonomic head, more comfortable observing during prolonged use
Some microscopes are equipped with an ergonomic head that allows you to tilt the eyepieces. As a result, your neck gets considerably less loaded when you look through the eyepieces for a long time.
Zoom ratio: the ratio between the total magnification and the image width
The microscope can be delivered in a 1: 6.3 zoom or a 1: 8 zoom housing. The zoom factor is nothing more than a mathematical formula that indicates the ratio between the maximum magnification and the minimum magnification of the lens. For example, a zoom lens that has a maximum magnification of 5x and a minimum magnification of 0.62x has a zoom factor of 1: 8 (5 / 0.62). For many microscopists this is an indication of the zoom range. For example, very expensive stereomicroscopes often have a maximum zoom factor of 1:15 means that a higher magnification is possible. These microscopes are not offered on our site and often cost thousands of euros.
Clickstop: more accuracy in a click
This microscope is equipped with a click stop. This is an option where a mechanism during zooming ensures that a click can be felt on all full and half magnification values such as 1x, 1.5x, 2x and 2, x. This makes these magnification values repeatable, which is a useful tool for accurate measurements with the microscope.
LED lamp: energy-efficient and high quality
The abbreviation LED stands for Light Emitting Diode, an LED lamp uses an energy-efficient light-emitting diode. LED lamps can produce a large amount of light without using large amounts of energy. A LED lamp lasts an average of 20,000 hours.
Objective: plan-apochromatic the best of the best
Plan apochromatic objectives are the highest quality of its kind. They correct the bulging of the image and even more color screening than plan fluorite lenses.
Stereo microscope: microscopy with a three-dimensional image
A stereomicroscope is normally used for lower magnifications. Where in a biological microscope the light passes through the object, in a stereomicroscope the light is usually shone on the object (with this microscope both on and below the object). A stereomicroscope should not be confused with a biological microscope that has two tubes (which you can see through with two eyes). A stereomicroscope always uses two eyepieces, but in contrast to a binocular biological microscope, a stereomicroscope has two separate optical light paths (with of course two objectives and two eyepieces). These ensure that the image in the left eyepiece deviates slightly from the image in the right eyepiece, resulting in a three-dimensional image of the object being viewed.
