The cooling technology of a thermoelectric cooler

The thermoelectric cooling technique is based on the so-called Peltier effect. This effect was discovered by Charles Athanase Peltier and derives from the reaction of two different types of metal on electric current. As a result of this reaction, a heat transfer occurs. This technique is mainly used for smaller cooling devices, such as cool boxes. A thermoelectric cooler box is reasonably inexpensive to purchase, but less economical in energy consumption. A thermoelectric cooler is silent in use and contains no coolants.
