Reflection
Send the light
Whether you are photographing in a studio or in the open air: reflection is an important element. Light can be controlled by reflection in a specific direction. At Frank you will find various products that are meant to get the desired reflection. In the shop you can buy both a reflection umbrella and a reflection screen, to use in photo studios and on location.

What is reflection exactly?
The term 'reflection' refers to the reflection of electromagnetic radiation. One of the elements with which this is possible is light. In photography, the lighting is an essential part; perhaps the most important part. By sending light, a photographer can cause certain effects. Reflections can produce hard light, but can also be made diffuse. By allowing reflected light, for example, to pass through a white cloth, it is spread and therefore softer.
Reflective screens
A reflection screen reflects light directly onto the subject. Each color screen has its own effect. A silver-colored reflector reflects the most light and provides the most neutral way of reflection. The reflected light has the same color as the ambient light on a silver-colored screen. A reflection screen is in many ways a better option than a flash. For a reflection screen you do not need power, the screen is very light and it is also able to do its work at a longer distance. The latter is especially the case with outdoor photography when the sun shines directly on the screen. With Frank you will find reflection screens in all colors, shapes and sizes.
Reflection umbrellas
An umbrella has an arch shape, thereby spreading the light wide. The light from the strobe is sent into the umbrella and is reflected by the umbrella towards the model or product you are photographing. In this way the subject is more or less 'wrapped' in soft light. A reflection umbrella is therefore very suitable for illuminating groups. Reflection umbrellas are available in the colors white, silver and gold. A white umbrella provides a neutral, soft lighting. A silver version provides a slightly harder exposure, with more color and more details. A golden umbrella reflects a less neutral, warmer light.
